An upgraded modern Hummingbird with the beauty of koa back and sides.

The classic Gibson Hummingbird began in 1960 and became known as a rock-and-roll acoustic guitar preferred by Keith Richards ("Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," "Jumping Jack Flash," and many more Rolling Stones recordings), Jimmy Page, Gram Parsons, and Sheryl Crow.

Hummingbirds can also be found every day in country and Americana venues, and even in more eclectic music in the hands of John McLaughlin and so many more. Gibson's Hummingbird is known as a guitar that records well due to its split personality that ranges from loud and brash, to full balanced and soft. Most Hummingbirds are made with a genuine mahogany back and sides.

This very rare limited run has all of the classic Gibson Hummingbird features and design but is built around a solid, select koa back and sides. It is also equipped with L.R. Baggs' high-quality Element VTC active pickup system. This special Hummingbird is proudly hand made in Bozeman, Montana, and comes in a plush-lined Gibson Hardshell case with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
