Part of their Hybrid Metal Series, Cleartone's EQ strings are the first acoustic guitar strings to blend a variety of metals into one single set so as to highlight your instrument's frequency response. They are named EQ because they are designed to mimic a perfect EQ setting, with each wound string utilizing a different alloy to enhance that particular string’s natural frequencies.

To create the Hybrid Metal Series EQ, Cleartone starts with a 99% copper-bronze for the low E string to provide you with more powerful bass response. For the A and D string, they chose phosphor bronze as it accentuates the mid range better while also maintaining a well-rounded low and high end. For the G string, they selected 80/20, because it has a brighter tone profile and and can better cut through the mix where you need it. Paired together, this unique blend means Cleartone EQ strings will produce an exquisitely balanced tone as if you already used an EQ to shape your perfect sound.
