Fender American Original Telecaster

The Fender American Original '50s Telecaster reflects all of the great sounds of its revolutionary namesake. It features Fender's Pure Vintage '52 single-coil Telecaster pickups, as well as namel-coated coil wire, cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbin construction and AlNiCo 3 magnets. Along with its ash body and 1952 U-shape maple neck, the American Original '50s Tele features a 9.5-inch radius fretboard with black dot inlays and 21 Vintage Tall frets. You'll also find Pure Vintage Single Line Fender Deluxe tuners, a 3 brass barrel saddle bridge, 1-ply black phenolic pickguard and Knurled Dome volume and tone controls.

On the other side, the Fender American Original '60s Telecaster offers considerable differences from the '50s model Tele. This Telecaster-Custom-inspired tone machine features a double-bound Alder body with a 3-ply eggshell pickguard, C-shape neck, as well as a round-laminated, rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius, pearloid dot inlays and 21 Vintage Tall frets. The '60s Tele is loaded with Fender's Pure Vintage '64 single-coil Telecaster pickups. Its period-inspired features include enamel-coated coil wire, cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbin construction and AlNiCo 3 magnets, which are known for their fat, warm sound. The pickups feature flush-mounted pole pieces (like the originals) and copper-plated steel base plates.
