This drum-making technique involves putting each wood ply into a cylinder with pressure applied from both sides. While in the press, the shell is heated to bring the glue to a boil which forces it directly into the wood grain. The result of this meticulous method is a drum shell of super strength that can stand up to weather conditions including humidity and extreme temperature changes.

This line of drums offers a variety of options when it comes to selecting the set to meet your specific drumming needs. Vision VB drum kits are made with a combination of birch and basswood ply shells. Their uniquely-designed shells give projection to the low end beats while matching the high frequencies produced by smaller drums. On the other hand, Vision Birch VBL drums feature a 100% birch shell pack construction. These drums are said to be ideal for live shows and studio work and boast higher frequencies, slightly reduced mids, and a good low end punch.

The Pearl Vision SensiTone steel snare projects an amazing tone with its 5.5” deep steel shell. Like its name suggests, the SensiTone snare drums are extremely sensitive to sound and never fail to produce clear, cutting beats.
