TCB1006 Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner Signature Electric Bass Guitar

Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner is a multi-talented artist bass player, producer and singer. He has collaborated with many famous musicians and his works have been highly acclaimed by critics and music online magazines. Ibanez has released his signature 6-string hollowbody bass guitar, the TCB1006.

The hollowbody is built with a quilted maple top, curly maple back and sides, all dressed in a beautiful transparent matte burst finish. The structure is designed to provide a balanced tone, have superior durability and avoid unnecessary feedback. The neck is a 5-piece maple/purpleheart set-in neck, with a reinforced structure to withstand the tension of six strings. To avoid neck-dive, the TCB1006 features lightweight machine-heads, Hipshot Ultralite tuners. These tuners reduce the weight and provide the model with the same balance of a hollow body and neck.

One of the biggest features of this model is the Graph Tech Ghost modular pickup system. The system offers Piezo and MIDI output options to the player in addition to the magnetic sound. Players can quickly and smoothly control various tones by two knobs and three toggle switches; Piezo/ Magnetic /Mix, MIDI program up/down, and Mid/Dark (natural Ghost acoustic sound/mid-boost) switches. For the magnetic pickup, the TCB1006 features EMG 45HZ, a passive humbucking pickup which features low noise, plenty of output and warm tone. It maximizes the potential of the Ghostsystem and acoustic tone of the hollow body to realize Thundercat's unique sound.
