REKA's outer slide cleaner is a further component of the Cleaning Set for trombone. It is designed for easy removal of dust and grit deposited by the inner slide. These materials can act as an abrasive on the delicate slide surface, thus negatively affecting movement and eventually damaging the slide. Therefore, it is important to wipe the inner and outer slide tubes before each new application of lubricant.Instructions for use:
Pass the ball on the end of the cord into the outer slide on the water key side. Lead it around the bow and through the slide. When it comes out the mouthpiece end, use it to pull the cleaning cloth slowly and smoothly through the slide. The cloth is washable.
