M.505FX 5-Channel DJ Mixer with Effects

The Stanton M.505FX's onboard effects can be automatically synced to tempo, previewed in headphones, and routed to a variety of sources. Superior Sound Technology (SST) and high-quality components -- including a fully assignable Penny & Giles crossfader with dual curve adjust -- make this 5-channel mixer a monster for studio or club use.

The M.505 12" club mixer features flange, filter, echo, delay, vocoder, pitch shift, LFO, and loop/sample 24-bit effects with flexible effects routing to headphone cue, crossfader, or master output. Plus you can assign effects to either side of crossfader for control over wet/dry balance and preview effects in headphones with split (wet/dry) or stereo cue. Dedicated trigger in, out, and reloop buttons make sampling and looping easy. Also features 60mm long-throw faders and 3-band EQ per channel with complete kill.

Versatile I/O include 5 phono, 5 line, and 2 switchable mic/aux inputs with (XLR, 1/4") combo jacks for connecting microphones, synthesizers, or drum machines; and master (XLR, 1/4", RCA), booth (1/4", RCA), record (RCA), and headphone (1/4", 1/8") outputs. The separate mic channel features (XLR, 1/4") combo jack connector and 2-band EQ.

SST mixers offer several important advantages for DJs:

Ultralow Noise
Why add noise to your mix when you can have the pure sound of SST? Try this with your current DJ mixer: make sure nothing is playing, then turn all the channel faders and master fader to their maximum positions. Then boost all the EQs to their highest settings. What you'll probably get is a bunch of hiss and noise. On an SST mixer, you won't hear a thing!

Zero Bleed
Another problem common to DJ mixers is channel bleed. For example, let's say you have a CD playing on channel 1 and nothing playing on channel 2. On many mixers, if you were to turn up channel 2's fader all the way you would hear the music bleeding over from channel 1. Again, with an SST mixer you would hear nothing but silence.
