Overview

An exquisite crunch machine with a choice of finishes and pickups.

The ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 electric guitar packs versatile performance into a comfortable, lightweight package. Built with a mahogany body and set mahogany neck, this guitar produces rich, warm tones perfect for metal, rock, blues and more. Active EMG 81/60 pickups serve up aggressive tones when you dig in, while the thin U-shaped neck profile lets your fingers fly up and down the 24 extra jumbo frets with ease. With a rock-solid set neck design, locking bridge and ESP locking tuners, the EC-1000 guitar stays in tune through heavy riffing and wild whammy bar dives.

Versatile Mahogany Body and Neck Provide Rich, Warm Tones

The EC-1000's mahogany body and set mahogany neck produce well-balanced tone with clear note articulation. Mahogany has a natural compression that evens out your attack, letting chords ring out with sustain. Its smooth midrange focuses the tone, while the mahogany body adds some roundness in the lows and shimmer up top. Together they create complex tones that work for hard rock, metal, blues, jazz and beyond. The set neck construction increases overall sustain and improves tuning stability compared to bolt-on neck guitars.

EMG 81/60 Active Pickups Deliver Aggressive Metal Tones

This guitar comes loaded with EMG's legendary 81/60 active pickup combination, prized by metal guitarists for their tight, aggressive tones. The EMG 81 in the bridge position handles distortion with clarity and focus. Pinch harmonics scream and palm mutes chug with precision. Switch to the EMG 60 in the neck position for fatter leads with vocal-like midrange. Active electronics keep noise low so you get hum-free output even at high gain settings. Overall these pickups serve up the cutting tones metal guitarists need to stand out in the mix.

Set Neck Design Offers Excellent Sustain and Tuning Stability

The EC-1000 improves on traditional bolt-on guitar designs with its set neck construction. Setting the neck directly into the mahogany body increases overall contact, allowing more complete resonance across the wood. This results in singing sustain, letting your notes hang on and on. The set neck also minimizes shifting between the neck joint and body. Once tuned, it stays locked in. You can perform radical whammy bar tricks without knocking the EC-1000 out of tune.

Thin, Fast U-Shaped Neck Profile Great for Shredding

Shredders will love the EC-1000's thin, flat U-shaped neck. It measures only .790" deep at the 1st fret, providing close fret access for ripping solos across the 24 extra jumbo frets. A flatter 16" fingerboard radius feels fast and slick during quick position changes. The satin finish on the back of the neck lets your hand glide smoothly up and down. Overall the EC-1000 gives you the slim, fast feel required for precision lead work while remaining comfortable during extended playing sessions.

Locking Bridge and Tuners Keep You in Tune

No guitar stays in tune forever, but the EC-1000 comes close thanks to its rock-solid hardware. The TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece maintain precise string spacing and alignment through heavy playing. Combined with ESP locking tuners, tuning fluctuations are minimized. The tuners eliminate slippage at the post for rock solid tuning stability. You can wail on the EC-1000 without having to constantly check and tweak tuning between songs.
