Overview

A pedal that authentically captures the tone of the coveted Fairchild 660 studio compressor for guitarists.

The J.Rockett Audio Designs Airchild Six Sixty compressor pedal brings the renowned tone of a legendary studio compressor to your pedalboard. Designed for serious musicians looking to enhance their tone with rich harmonics and balanced transients, the Six Sixty recreates the signature compression of the famous vintage Fairchild 660 limiter. With a wide range of compression and an ultrafast attack, this pedal allows you to dial in the perfect amount of sustain and dynamic control for your needs.

Studio-Quality Compression

The Six Sixty provides the transparent, high-fidelity compression that has made the Fairchild 660 a staple of professional studios for decades. Its discrete circuitry uses premium components to deliver extremely low noise and distortion, allowing your instrument's tone to shine through. The Six Sixty gives you a range of compression ratios from 2:1 all the way to 30:1 for limiting, allowing subtle enhancement of dynamics or drastic reshaping of your sound. With an attack time of just 1/10,000 of a second, no transient will escape the Six Sixty's control.

Sonic Flexibility

While the Six Sixty excels at the transparent compression Fairchild is known for, it also offers tonal flexibility for a variety of musical styles. Adjust the input gain and threshold to subtly fatten up a clean tone or slam the front end for gritty overdrive. Push the compression ratio and lower the threshold for splatty funk dynamics or psychedelic squash. The Six Sixty also features an innovative time constant control which adjusts the release from a snappy 25ms up to 1.5 seconds for a drawn-out sustain effect.

Simple Operation

Despite its studio-level performance, the Airchild Six Sixty is easy to use on stage or in rehearsals. It features just three knobs for intuitive control: Input adjusts the signal level entering the compressor, Threshold sets the point at which compression begins and Time Constant selects one of six release time settings. LEDs indicate when a signal reaches the threshold and how much gain reduction is occurring. With its simple layout and studio-grade sound, the Airchild Six Sixty gives you an uncomplicated way to improve your tone.

Bring a Classic Studio Sound to Your Feet

With the J.Rockett Audio Designs Airchild Six Sixty, you can now experience the renowned compression of the Fairchild 660 limiter in a convenient stompbox format. Perfect for guitarists and bassists looking to sculpt their dynamics with the touch of a professional engineer, the Six Sixty gives you studio-grade tone shaping right at your feet.
