The Line 6 HX Stomp XL also features some nice refinements in the ergonomics of the unit, like moving all the jacks to the back, along with the master output knob, which is spring-loaded. This last one is a really clever touch, as it means that, once you've set your ideal output level, you press the knob to recess so that neither a stray guitar cable nor a curious cat can change it randomly.
