Take a single glance at the stage during any live performance, and there's a good chance you'll see the Peavey logo up there. Growing from modest roots into one of the world's leading builders of pro audio equipment, they've definitely got something for everyone. Amps were the beginning of the company and are still their claim to fame today, so if you want to power up your performances with great sound, this selection of Peavey amplifiers & effects is the right place to start looking. Take a Peavey amp out for a spin, and you'll hear what 50 years of experience can lead to.
A great place to start looking through this lineup is with the 6505 series. It includes a good range of amplifiers and cabinets, based on electronics that were originally developed hand-in-hand with Eddie Van Halen. Check out the Peavey 6505+ 120W Guitar Amp Head for example: building on the classic 5150 II, it gets a ton of gain and headroom thanks to an extra preamp tube. If you like the 6505s but you'd prefer a more British voice to your amp, take a look at the 6534 Plus 120W Tube Guitar Amp instead. The foundation is the same, but the 6534 series uses EL34 power tubes instead of 6L6s to deliver a more Euro sound.
Not a guitar player? Don't worry, you'll find some excellent options here no matter what instrument you rock. For instance, the Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp is a powerhouse for any bassist, with 600 watts under the hood. Peavey's keyboard amps are also fantastic, such as the KB 5 150W 2x10 4-Channel Keyboard Amp, which even has a built-in handle and wheels for easy transit between gigs.
All of this is just the beginning, of course - there's a lot that could be said about Peavey amplifiers & effects, but the bottom line is that it's up to you to figure out which one is perfect to meet your needs. That won't be hard, though: with so many to choose from, there's certain to be one with the feature set to match your mental wish-list.
