A passive tone control tailors the overall sound from smooth and warm, to a cutting lead tone that pierces the mix. Riot's three-way voicing switch offers even more tonal variety. The left position produces an organic tone that responds dynamically to your guitar's volume knob. The middle position provides a tight, mid-focused distortion perfect for aggressive rhythm playing. Switch right for a looser, vintage voiced distortion with excellent note definition.</p> <h3>Seamless Integration With FX Link</h3> <p>Riot features an FX Link connection so you can easily integrate it into complex rigs and pedalboards. FX Link lets you control the Riot's on/off switching remotely from a loop switcher or other interface. You can also use FX Link to power up Riot in a specific on or off state. Remote control capability makes it simple to put Riot anywhere in your signal chain that works best, without having to tap dance. The true bypass relay switching ensures transparency when Riot is bypassed, with no popping or switching noise.</p> <h3>Built-in Low Battery Monitor</h3> <p>Riot has a smart low battery monitor that alerts you when the 9-volt battery needs to be replaced. This prevents unexpected signal loss right as you're about to lay down the perfect solo. The battery monitor will even automatically switch Riot into true bypass mode if the battery voltage gets too low. With power consumption of only 8mA, you can expect up to 100 hours of distortion goodness before needing to swap batteries.
