Acoustic Bass Amplifiers

Ever since their 1967 debut, Acoustic bass amplifiers have been some of the most sought-after equipment for bassists everywhere. One of the best examples is Jaco Pastorius, who famously used the EQ controls of two Acoustic 360 amps to pump up his midrange, bringing out a ton of growl from the round-wound strings on his passive, fretless jazz bass. Another disciple of the 360 is John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, joining bass icons like Carl Radle, John McVie and Flea on the list of musicians who have helped to shape the course of modern music through Acoustic bass amps. With a robust selection of individual amp heads and cabinets, as well as some sweet combo amplifiers, Acoustic has something to meet the needs of any bassist. Not sure which setup is right for you? Your best option might be to aim for the middle ground with a combo amp that delivers stack-like power levels, such as the B450mkII. This gargantuan combo amp has the all-in-one convenience of a combo as well as 450W of power fit to rival its fair share of full-on stacks. If you need a bit more juice, adding an extension speaker can take you up to an earth-shaking 600W.

Acoustic also has two great bass heads if you prefer a stack setup: the B300H and B800H. Although the legendary 360 and 370 amps are enjoying a well-earned retirement, their designs live on in these two amp heads that deliver vintage-accurate tones at modern power levels. Pair those up with cabinets like the B410mkII and B810mkII, each sporting custom-designed 10" speakers, and you're ready to rock in a big way. Of course, if you'd rather rock in a smaller way, there's always the 260mkII mini-stack to pack every ounce of renowned Acoustic amp tone into a more compact frame.

Amazing tone is what these amps are all about. That's evident enough in the performances of artists like Rudy Sarzo, whose career accolades include Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne & Whitesnake. Plug into one of these combos or stacks and you'll discover just how great your bass can sound.
