About MusicMan:

Music Man was founded in 1971 by Forrest White, Tom Walker and Leo Fender. The company's StingRay bass was introduced in 1976 and its innovative features have kept it at the head of its class to this day. In 1984, Music Man was sold to Ernie Ball, of guitar string fame. Ernie's son, Sterling Ball, eventually became the owner of what is now called the Ernie Ball Music Man Company. A respected bassist, Sterling had tested prototypes of the StingRay bass for Leo Fender as a teenager. Under Sterling's direction, the Sterling bass series was introduced in 1993 and was named most innovative bass by Musician magazine. Today, Music Man guitars and basses continue to offer extraordinary tone combined with sleek, cutting-edge looks and comfortable playability.
