Shells
Concert Series drums are made from 100% 7-ply mahogany with Pearl's exclusive Superior Shell Technology (S.S.T.). This is the very same process that every other Pearl drum is created with, including Reference and Masterworks, which gives Pearl drums a level of quality and consistency that other drums in its category just can't match.

Pearl's Superior Shell Technology utilizes a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. It begins with select woods chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams, for a perfect air-tight fit. The wood plies are saturated with Pearl's proprietary "AcoustiGlue" that permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. Finally, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to produce perfect drum shells that exhibit superior tone, optimal resonance and extreme strength.

STBD-36F Field Stand
STBD Series concert bass drum stands provide the maximum sustain and resonance from Pearl Bass Drums by freely suspending the drum on a rubber web mount. A sturdy steel frame surrounds the drum and provides ample space for the drum to move, while at the same time keeping the drum under control while playing.

Two heavy duty hinges allow the drum to spin 360 degrees in either direction and a heavy duty handle on the player side allows the drum to be locked at your ideal playing position. A full length footrest bar helps reduce fatigue when playing with a knee dampening technique.

Standard STBD stands feature 4 Heavy Duty double locking 3" casters and make the drum easy to move, while keeping the drum from moving during use.

The STBD36F model for 36" bass drums feature 8" Heavy Duty double locking pneumatic wheels suitable for outdoor use over a variety of terrain.
