DCM-290P 5-Disc Changer

The high-performance Denon DCM-290P is a 5-disc carousel CD changer equipped with an MP3/WMA decoder, which lets you not only enjoy regular audio CDs, but also MP3 or WMA-encoded CD-R/RW discs as well. A single CD-R/RW disc can contain up to 10 times more tracks than an ordinary audio CD, making them ideal for use in long-play applications such as background music.

The DCM-290P features a multilevel noise-shaping DAC. This multilevel modulation powerfully removes the adverse effects of jitter. Because it is built into the output amp, a clean analog output with suppressed high-frequency interference can be directly obtained. It also has an 8-times oversampling digital filter, which gives you an extraordinary degree of attenuation and reduces frequency irregularities in the audio range to an absolute minimum.

This 5-disc changer mechanism provides smooth, quiet operation, and features an unbalanced RCA output as well as coax & optical outputs. Other features include a synchronized recording function, programmable playback (up to 32 tracks from discs in carousel), 3-mode random playback, and intelligent disc scan). It also comes with an infrared remote and 3RU rack kit for mounting.
