Daisy Chain Cables

Electric instruments wouldn't be electric instruments if they weren't powered. Naturally, that goes for their accessories as well. When you've got a whole series of individually-powered units in a row (like, say, effects pedals), you'd be facing a mess or wiring to plug each and every one of them in individually. Thankfully, there's a better way to do it: daisy chain cables. Plug the power source in at one end, and you can feed all of your devices off one line instead of covering the stage with cord spaghetti.

Pedals are, of course, the primary use for these types of cables. That's why they're designed for 9V power and come with standard stompbox connector types. As a guitarist or bassist, you can have a ton of pedals on your board, and the more of them you have, the more reason you've got to plug them in with daisy chain cables. They make pedals quicker, easier and less confusing to set up - which is a good thing when you're in a hurry to prep the stage before a major gig.

You'll also notice some specialty cables in here, such as reverse polarity jumpers. These can allow a DC power adapter like the 1 SPOT to be connected to Yamaha hardware, as well as effects pedals that use reversed polarity. Another interesting cable would be something like the Godlyke Power-All System Battery Clip Jumper Cable. With this, you can power a pedal using an external battery, so you won't have to peel it off the board for battery changes the way you would for the internal one.

There are plenty of Y-splitter, specialty and daisy chain cables here to choose from, so when you've got pedals and other 9V devices to power up, you'll be well-equipped to do it. In fact, you might even want to consider packing some of the adapter cables into your road kit just in case: you never know when they might come in handy! Cables can be easy to overlook, but when all is said and done, they're one of the most critical segments of your gear collection.
