The moment David Schecter opened his repair shop in 1976, he started a musical legacy that continues to this day. While Schecter Guitar Research is best known for its professional-grade guitars and basses, you'll find more and more of those instruments being backed up by their own line of high-end guitar amplifiers. Introduced in 2013, Schecter's amplifiers are the promising newcomers of the amp scene, shaking up the market with models that can easily go toe-to-toe with all the 'usual suspects.'
The first guitar amp heads that you'll probably notice while browsing Schecter's lineup are the Synyster Gates Hellwin series. The latest step in Schecter's long-standing relationship with Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates, the SYN100-H amp head is designed and built to scream on the stage. Pair it up with the SYN412-ST speaker cabinet and its four 12" Celestion cones will deliver every ounce of the A7X tone that goes on tour with Synyster Gates himself.
If the signature models aren't your style, check out Schecter's original Hellraiser series instead. Not only will you find the beastly HR100-H amp head and a few speaker cabinets to plug it into, this is also where Schecter's combo amps make their appearance. The HR100-C212, for instance, plays it loud through four EL34-B and four EI12AX7EH tubes. Pushing 100W through a pair of 12" Celestion Vintage 30s, the HR100-C212 will redefine your notions of what a combo amp can do.
Whether or not you play a Schecter Guitar Research axe, you owe it to yourself to check out these amazing amplifiers. Packed with top-notch speakers and tubes that more than live up to the reputation Schecter built with its guitars, these amps are truly world-class. They'll sound great with every axe in your collection, and if you're not already a Schecter fan, one of their amplifiers just might be the first step towards becoming one.
