Rethought from the ground up, the American Ultra HSS Strat features the classic Stratocaster contoured body and much more. The smooth, satin-finish Modern-D neck profile is slimmer and faster with the feel of raw wood. The compound-radius rosewood fingerboard has a premium rolled-edge treatment for ultra-smooth chording and single-note playing. A newly designed, contoured neck joint makes upper fret access easier than ever. 

Vintage tones without hum

When it comes to the electronics, the HSS version of the American Ultra Strat is loaded with next-gen Ultra Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions. These pickups were painstakingly designed to provide vintage Fender single-coil tone, without vintage single-coil hum. In the bridge, sits one of Fender's patent pending DoubleTap hum buckers, with a push/pull S1 switch on the volume pot to move between humbucker and an expressive, hot-rodded, tapped single-coil for expanded tonal possibilities. Fender's two-point fulcrum tremolo gives you all the whammy action you could want. Fender's sealed, locking tuners keep your tuning tight when you do. The American Ultra Stratocaster includes Fender's deluxe molded hardshell case.
