Overview
An evolution of the Southern Jumbo.
Gibson introduced its first square shoulder body design in 1960, the world famous Hummingbird, and in 1962-1968 the Southern Jumbo, which was a round shoulder shape since its introduction in 1942, changed to a square shoulder body shape. This rare model (a.k.a. Country Western) offers a powerful tonal response in a traditional size and shape. A custom Vintage Sunburst adds a vintage touch along with Gibson’s own VOS finish and double antiqued binding. Finished with nickel Gotoh keystone tuners and a Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup system.
