The 2017 SJ-200 Vintage features the Super Jumbo body style, long the “Artist’s Choice” for all styles of music, including blues, folk, rock and country. So much so, that this magnificent acoustic has become an icon for the world’s most legendary rock and pop performers. Known for creating a giant choral background for vocal accompaniment, the SJ-200 Vintage is capable of a rich, full sound with a deep bass and crystal-clear highs. Hand-built in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Bozeman, Montana, Gibson's master luthiers continue the rich tradition of Gibson Acoustic.

The 2017 SJ-200 Vintage uses Gibson’s proprietary, Thermally Aged top wood, a process which accurately “ages” the wood to sound like a seasoned, vintage instrument. The SJ-200 Vintage is offered with this process applied on the hand-selected Adirondack red spruce top. Hand-scalloped, arched bracing secured with hot hide glue, focuses the sound to the center of the guitar top for superior tone.
