Master Artisan Tom Murphy is a pioneer in the art of aging guitars. This ’64 Trini Lopez features his reverse-engineered lacquer formula with unique checking patterns. The Ultra Light finish has the least amount of aging—you'll only see minimal signs of play wear.

Historically authentic construction

The Trini Lopez is made of 3-ply maple/poplar/maple. This semi-hollow design adds an acoustic element to your notes, and we particularly dig the diamond-shaped soundholes. The mahogany neck accurately captures the feel of a ’60s Gibson; rolled edges on the Indian rosewood fingerboard make it extra comfortable.

Pickups with real appeal

Gibson specs the ’64 Trini Lopez with dual alnico III CustomBuckers. Only available on Custom Shop instruments, these pickups have that pure "Patent Applied For" sound. Played delicately, they're sweet and airy. When you dig in, expect rich, thick tones.
