Modified Hollowbody Resonates Naturally
The TOD10NL's modified hollowbody produces the resonant, balanced tone of a fine classical guitar. Fan bracing, traditionally used in nylon-string guitars, allows the solid Sitka spruce top to vibrate freely. Sapele back and sides provide midrange warmth and treble sparkle. With no soundhole, the guitar feeds back less at higher volumes so you can push the Fishman pickup without unwanted squeal. Play unplugged for an authentic acoustic experience or plug in to be heard.
Fast, Low-Profile Neck Inspires Fluid Playing
The TOD10NL's Nyatoh neck has an oval profile that feels familiar in your left hand. Its 15.75" radius and 1.81" nut width facilitate barre chords and complex fingerings. 22 medium frets extend up the walnut fingerboard, providing plenty of room for Tim Henson's expressive lead work. The neck's slim, lightweight construction maximizes resonance through the body. Whether you prefer dramatic slides or percussive taps, the TOD10NL's neck is designed for unrestricted playing.
Hybrid Electronics Blend Pickup and Piezo Tones
The Fishman S-Core pickup accurately captures the TOD10NL's natural tone for amplification, while an AEQ-SP1 preamp lets you shape your sound with three-band EQ and digital tuning. Blend the pickup with the guitar's piezo bridge pickup for a mix of warm, organic tone and crystalline top end. With master volume and pickup blend controls at your fingertips, you can transition smoothly between acoustic and electric sounds mid-song. The preamp's tuner ensures you're always in tune when performing or recording.
