Banshee-7 7-String Active Electric Guitar

The Schecter Guitar Research Banshee-7 7-string Active Electric Guitar is fully-equipped. It comes with an alder body and bolt-on multi-laminate neck. The fretboard is smooth ebony with 24 extra-jumbo frets and a compound radius for maximum comfort. Active EMG pickups produce plenty of tone control and power. Black chrome hardware completes the list of appointments. Case sold separately.

Grover tuners
The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination

Ebony fretboard
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain

EMG active 81/85 pickups
One of the most popular EMG's the 81 is the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Recommended pairings include the classic 81/85 setup.

Multi-laminate maple & walnut neck
Made from 3 pieces of maple and 2 center strips of walnut. This well balanced combination of select wood takes the bright tones of maple and adds a dark tone from the walnut strips. Often used for Thru neck construction giving the acoustic tone of the instrument a perfect string vibration transfer to the body.

Compound radius fretboard (12"-16")
Everyone knows how comfortable vintage guitar necks are for rhythm, but without uncomfortably high action, string bending "frets-out" on the higher frets. With a Compound radius fretboard you get the comfort of a 12" radius at the lower frets for Chording and easy access of Soloing at the higher frets with the 16" radius, not to mention perfect playability at the lowest string height possible.
