The guitar's solid urban ash top, back and sides are sourced from Southern California trees in need of removal, yielding a tone that rings with clarity and balance. The ash's density helps each string's fundamental note sing out, while damping excess overtones for a clean voice. A four-piece back and sides are stained to highlight the wood's straight, quartered grain.

V-Class Bracing Optimizes Projection and Intonation

Taylor's patented V-Class bracing marks an evolution beyond traditional X-bracing. It functions as a "sonic engine" boosting volume, sustain and resolving intonation issues. The bracing creates notes that sound purer, clearer and more consistent throughout the fingerboard. The guitar is easier to tune, with notes that have more projection, sustain and less "sourness."
