Today a pedalboard is something most touring guitarists take for granted, but the reality is that not so long ago they were fairly hard to come by. When Pedal Pad began designing their line of pedalboards in the year 2000, they were one of only a handful of companies looking to service this market. Most of the pedalboards being produced at that time were specifically designed by pedal makers with molded cavities for only their gear, which wasn’t very helpful if you liked to mix and match. Pedal Pad’s designer Michael Stratton quickly provided a solution to this problem. With a goal of being able to simply, "take the lid off, plug in my amp and guitar and be ready to go," Pedal Pad was born, and 14 years later, they’re still leading the way.

Beyond the ability to mix and match different brands of pedals, what really separates Pedal Pad pedalboards from the competition is their angled pedal surface and second tier. This patented design helps you to quickly and accurately step on the switch of the pedal you need without accidently stomping on a pedal that is in its vicinity. This setup also allows you to change your pedal configurations as your pedals change, making Pedal Pad pedalboards completely customizable.

Pedal Pad pedalboards are built for serious road dogs and gear gurus. There is nothing fancy about them (a deliberate decision). As Michael Stratton has said, he wants Pedal Pads to provide, "The ultimate in protection and ease of use; not to have a lot of cost built into features which can only be described as cosmetic." So whether you need a small board for local gigs and shorter tours such as the AXS Road Buddy Pedalboard, or the large and in charge MPS XL II Tour Series Powered Pedalboard for longer stints on the road, Pedal Pad has you covered. Made by musicians, for musicians, no guitarist who takes pride in their effects set up should hit the stage without a Pedal Pad pedalboard.
