The DBR12 is a rugged yet highly portable powered speaker from Yamaha, harnessing the same advanced digital signal processing and amplifier technology found in their professional sound reinforcement models. With 1000W of power driving a custom 12" woofer and 1.4" compression driver, the DBR12 achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 131dB with precise, full-range sound ideal for live performance, DJing or fixed installation.
High-Efficiency 1000W Class-D Amplifier
The DBR12's lightweight Class-D amplifier provides 1,000W of power, delivering remarkably high volume levels with clarity and accuracy. The power and performance of a professional loudspeaker is now available in a portable, self-contained package.
Custom-Designed Transducers for Accurate Response
Yamaha developed the DBR12's 12" low-frequency woofer and 1.4" high-frequency compression driver specifically for this model, optimizing their performance. The result is a loudspeaker that reproduces the entire audible spectrum with minimal distortion at any volume.
A Lightweight Yet Durable Enclosure
The DBR12's plastic cabinet is designed to be as lightweight as possible for easy transport while remaining durable. Ergonomic handles and a wedge-shaped profile make it easy to grab and set up as a floor monitor. For permanent installations, the cabinet includes M8-threaded mounting points compatible with optional rigging hardware.
Flexible Connectivity and Control
The DBR12 includes an onboard two-channel mixer with independent level controls for its combo XLR/TRS input and RCA input. You can choose to route both inputs to the speaker or only the XLR/TRS input. With simple, intuitive controls and a range of input options, the DBR12 works with nearly any source from microphones to MP3 players and everything in between.
