Overview

Studio microphones inspired by the classic microphones.

The Peluso 22 47 LE is styled after the legendary Neumann U 47. Manufactured in the 1950s and '60s, the revolutionary sensitivity of the U 47 brought extraordinary detail to recorded sound. Remembered for its use by artists from Frank Sinatra to the Beatles, it is perhaps the most well-known microphone of all time. This mic is an excellent choice for a wide range of applications, from rock drums and guitar amps to brass instruments and vocals.

The Peluso 22 47 LE is built with the highest-quality modern components and designed to perform as the U 47 did when it was new. The U 47 was designed around its TELEFUNKEN steel-covered tube, and the LE employs a true vintage German 'EF'-style steel tube manufactured between the 1940s and the 1960s. The LE brings all the subtlety of tone, detail and character of a vintage U 47, combined with the reliability and quiet noise floor required in the modern recording environment.

Peluso Microphone Lab produces a line of top-quality studio microphones, like this 22 47 LE (limited edition) large-diaphragm condenser steel tube microphone, inspired by the classic vintage microphones. These custom designed vacuum tube and solid-state, condenser and ribbon microphones sound like vintage mics did when they were new. Peluso microphones are hand assembled from top-quality modern and vintage components from American, European and Asian sources.

From the hand soldering on our circuit boards to the selection and testing of our tubes, Peluso sees that each of their mics deserves the Peluso name, in there Virginia facility. They extensively test every Peluso microphone and kit with a computer frequency response system and with a human listening test with all components of each kit prior to shipment. This testing ensures that the highest quality and lowest noise standards are met. At Peluso Microphone Lab, they strive to produce a product of superb quality at a fair price.
