When you need a JBL studio speaker, check out the different series we offer at Musician’s Friend. From the 3 Series MkII to the 7 Series to the Control models, you’re sure to find the perfect recording monitor for your studio.

JBL 3 Series MkII Studio Monitors

Available with 5”, 6” and 8” low-frequency transducers, the 3 Series MkII are powered two-way studio monitors. This affordable series gives your studio precise imaging with a sleek design. They’re built to give you accurate frequency response, great low-frequency extension, and a high SPL capability. These studio monitors are packed with patented JBL technology, like Image Control Waveguide for that detailed imaging and a Slip Stream low-frequency port for superior bass. Add in custom Class-D amps, JBL drivers and Boundary EQ settings, and you’ll find the 3 Series has a high output and dynamic range with great performance. Plus, magnetically shielded transducers help minimize distortion when you’re recording, ensuring a better and more accurate sound when you’re in the studio.

JBL 7 Series Studio Monitors

When you want to step up your studio monitors, look to the JBL 7 Series. The JBL 7 Series are bi-amplified self-powered reference monitors. They’re available with either a 5” woofer in the 705P monitor or with an 8” woofer in the 708P monitor. With the latest JBL driver technology, these reference monitors have a great dynamic range and frequency response. Because of this, the 7 Series monitors deliver a huge output. The 7 Series features patented Image Control Waveguide, which adds accuracy and detail to the frequency spectrum. For even greater output, the 7 Series also has a built-in dual amplification system. When you add in comprehensive EQ controls and digital integration, it’s the perfect series for post-production sound and mastering. Even better, their compact design sets up in your studio with ease, and helps minimize any interference. The 7 Series recording monitors can be wall or ceiling mounted, giving you added control over your studio.

JBL Control Studio Monitors

The first models of the Control studio monitors were introduced in 1986. The series has come a long way since, and today you’ll find these monitors are packed with JBL technology built for the modern studio.
