The Ultra cornet mouthpieces produce a more brilliant sound which is clear, powerful and with added projection compared to the classic Denis Wick cornet mouthpieces. The Ultra rims promote flexibility and stamina and have very comfortable contours which are slightly more rounded than common traditional rims. The combined components of the C cup with a smaller bore than the Classic series, and a projecting backbore, slightly brighten the sound and aid the performer in projection and endurance. Since the Ultra Cornet models all share the same rim with the Ultra trumpet versions, these mouthpieces all use a C cup that makes it easy for players to switch between trumpet and cornet.
