Any brass instrument, from the most basic student model to the most precious vintage treasure, is a fine piece of craftsmanship that deserves a high standard of care - in fact, the better its condition, the better a brass instrument tends to sound. And that's not even mentioning the importance of keeping all valves and moving parts in smooth, free-sliding condition. Taking care of your instrument's care requirements starts with your choice of cleaner and sanitizer for brass, and with all the products available in this section, the good news is it's a total cinch to find just what you need to keep your horn looking and sounding its best.
One of the most important parts of your instrument to keep clean is your mouthpiece. Since it's the part that comes in contact with your mouth while playing, it's also the most prone to collecting bacteria - which you definitely don't want to be tasting the next time you play! Specialized cleaners like the Bach 1800B Mouthpiece Spray and Giardinelli Magic Mist Hygienic Mouthpiece Cleaner make it easy to take care of your mouthpiece. And when it's time to disinfect the rest of your instrument's bore, just turn to something like the Sterisol 8 oz. Germicide Concentrate (or go for the smaller 2 oz. size if you're a casual player with a less demanding cleaning schedule).
Sometimes, when your instrument needs a deeper cleaning, you might want to rinse it with water. You can use a bottle, of course, but an even better suggestion would be to take advantage of accessories like the Quick Horn Rinse FLB-001 Large Bore Faucet Connector Attachment, allowing you to rinse directly from the tap. You can even add soap with the SLB-001 Large Bore Sudser Kit - it's a fantastic choice to make deep-cleaning your brass instrument faster and easier (and maybe even kind of fun).
As a brass musician, you can consider this section as sort of your "instrument cleaning central". There's plenty to choose from, so you'll have no problem gearing up with the ideal cleaners and sanitizers for your brass instruments - not to mention the supplies you need to wash straight from the tap. A clean instrument is a good-sounding one, and a lot more long-lasting to boot, so taking care of yours is about more than just looks. It's an important part of ownership!
