Two powerful Burstbucker 61 pickups deliver the tones that fueled rock's golden age, with increased output and definition. The fast, comfortable mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard provide fluid playability, while nickel hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge keep tuning stable through epic solos and thunderous riffs.

Modern Versatility and Control

While the SG Standard '61 is a tribute to history, it's built for today. The 61R and 61T pickups are wired to independent volume and tone controls for each pickup, allowing a range of tones from warm and rounded to hot and biting. A 3-way toggle switch selects neck pickup, bridge pickup or both. Orange Drop capacitors give a sweet musical tone at any setting.
