Petrucci worked closely with DiMarzio to develop pickups tailored to his needs. The Majesty 7 is loaded with a Rainmaker neck pickup and Illuminator bridge pickup. The Rainmaker produces a warm, smooth tone for rhythm playing. The Illuminator has more output for searing lead tones. Used together, these articulate pickups capture the nuances of Petrucci's complex playing style.
